Hello. I’m Boni Sones. ECS works in the not-for-profit sector campaigning with charities and Government bodies to achieve social change.
ECS has been at the forefront of podcasting nationally. I am Executive Producer of Women's Parliamentary Radio www.wpradio.co.uk. In January 2009 I was awarded an OBE in the New Year Honours list for "Services to Broadcasting and Public Relations".
It is an online broadcaster for women MPs across party in this country and internationally. Partners include the BBC, the Hansard Society, the Electoral Reform Society, the EOC and Fawcett.
I have been at the forefront of the new media "convergence" agenda and have just been voted one of the 20 most influential women in Britain by Women in Public Policy Magazine.
I was nominated for the Dods Scottish Widows female political journalist of the year award 08. I have also been a nominee for the Channel 4 political awards in January 2008 and a nominee for the Orwell Prize in journalism in 2005 from my book: "Women in Parliament:The New Suffragettes" published by Politico's.
I have scripted and voiced video and audio podcasts for clients which are now on their websites and mine www.camcasting.co.uk
I have 30 years experience spanning print journalism, network and local television and radio. I helped launch BBC News 24. I have been a political editor and local government and education correspondent for BBC TV in the East and a newspaper columnist. I also broadcast with BBC Radio 4 on public sector issues.
I specialise in bringing together the media, and organisations to launch social action campaigns.
I also have considerable training experience across a number of high profile national organisations and have written a book on Effective Publicity Skills. I have my own on-line training systems aimed at teaching the trainers how to train.
ECS runs courses in: presentations skills training, public speaking coaching, media training, communication training, and advanced presentation skills. I offer report writing training, speech writing and speech writing tips.
My short stories have been published in the East Anglian Daily Times in Suffolk and I have made a film for Anglia television featuring my own poetry.
In 1992 I was elected a fellow of the Department of Education at the University of East Anglia. |
